The School of Earth Wisdom

EPU's educational home: where ancestral knowledge becomes lived practice, and learning becomes a way of walking in the world.

About the School

The School of Earth Wisdom is EPU's learning and practice pathway, a living space where ancient teachings meet the life you are living now.

It is not only a place to learn. It is a place to practice, embody, and walk in right relationship with the Earth and one another. Guided by Tat Erick González and a circle of wisdom keepers, elders, and skilled practitioners, the School offers teachings that help people deepen their relationship with:

Who We Are How the School is Structured

Learning Pathways

The School of Earth Wisdom offers several distinct pathways, each designed for a different depth of engagement. Begin where you are. Go as deep as you are called.

Pathway 01

Foundations of Earth Wisdom

Entry-level teachings for those new to EPU and Earth-based practice. Grounded, accessible, and designed to build a foundation of understanding and relationship.

Pathway 02

Living the Teachings

Intermediate series for those ready to deepen. These courses move from understanding into embodied practice: bringing the teachings into daily life, relationship, and community.

Pathway 03

Practitioner & Stewardship Path

For those called to carry and transmit these teachings with integrity. A more intensive pathway of formation, accountability, and ceremonial preparation.

Where you begin

Foundations of Earth Wisdom

The Foundations pathway is designed for anyone who feels called to Earth-based wisdom but doesn't know where to start. These teachings don't assume prior knowledge, only a genuine desire to learn and to listen.

You will be introduced to the cosmological framework that underlies EPU's work: the four elements, the medicine wheel, the sacred calendar, and the principles of right relationship with the Earth and with one another.

"Every elder was once a beginner who did not leave."

Go Deeper

Living the Teachings

Understanding is only the beginning. The Living the Teachings pathway is where knowledge moves from the mind into the body, the daily life, and the relational field. These courses are designed for people who have begun their journey and are ready to go further.

Through ceremony, practice, community engagement, and seasonal attunement, you will learn to inhabit the teachings rather than simply study them. This is the work of integration, becoming what you are learning.

For those called to serve

Practitioner & Stewardship Path

The Practitioner and Stewardship Path is for those who feel called not only to receive these teachings but to carry them, with care, accountability, and ceremonial integrity.

This is a path of deeper formation. It requires commitment, discernment, and a willingness to be changed by what you learn. Admission to this pathway is by invitation or application.

  • Ceremonial preparation and protocol

  • Mentorship from Tat Erick González and senior practitioners

  • Land stewardship practice at the sanctuaries

  • Accountability and community responsibility

  • Transmission of teachings to future generations
