Waqxaqui (8) B’atz serves as the consistent heartbeat and ritual for Earth Peoples United every 260 days. It is a dedicated time for us to collectively offer to creation, find spiritual renewal through ceremony, spend time in nature, and live in connection as a village. The connections forged during these periods of spiritual renewal are powerful. We maintain this regular rhythm of ceremony to empower and connect to each other and Mother Earth, helping us anchor ourselves in life. Regardless of our experiences, this ritual of gathering around the Mayan Fire allows us to begin each new cycle renewed.
