This year, two sacred cycles align.

Our annual Earth Wisdom Gathering is held on the days surrounding the summer solstice when the sun reaches its highest point and the Earth is filled with light. This year, it coincides with Waqxaqui (8) B’atz — the sacred day that serves as the ceremonial heartbeat of Earth Peoples United, returning every 260 days, which next happens on June 22, 2026.

For our community, 8 B’atz is a time of renewal, gratitude, and remembering our spiritual path. It is when we gather around the Mayan Fire to give thanks for the cycle that has passed and to begin the next one with clarity and intention.

When these two sacred cycles align — the solar cycle of the Earth and the sacred calendar of the Maya — it becomes a powerful moment to come together in ceremony, prayer, and community.
