June 19โ23, 2025 | Deer Mountain Sanctuary | Camping + Glamping Upgrades Available
Registration deadline is Thursday June 12th so that we can plan meals and camping areas for the needs of the group.
Join us for a sacred, land-based gathering at Deer Mountain Sanctuary during the powerful days surrounding the Summer Solstice. Over five days, we will walk in prayer, remembrance, and celebration through traditional ceremonies, earth-based teachings, and land tending projects. (A weekend option is also available for those who cannot come for all 5 days).
This gathering is a return to ancestral ways โ weaving community, fire, storytelling, and skill-sharing into a circle of unity and reverence. Together, we honor the Earth, the waters, and our place within the sacred web of life.
Highlights include:
Sunrise Pipe Ceremony & Solstice Council Fire
Sweatlodge Ceremony
Earth Skills & Land Tending Projects
Mayan Fire Ceremony for balance and renewal
Evening storytelling, songs, and sacred fire circles
Sacred Morning Rituals to begin each day in connection
Option to go to the Klamath River on last day to make offerings before departing
This is a family-friendly camping event, rooted in community care, spiritual alignment, and right relationship with the land.

SCHEDULE
Thursday June 19th (4 Akabal):
2- 5 PM: Arrival, camp set up
5 PM:Welcome & orientation reception.
6 - 7 PM:Potluck Dinner & cleanup
7:30- 9 PM: Opening circle and brief introductions around the fire.
Friday June 20th (5 Kat): SUMMER SOLSTICE
5- 8 AM: Sunrise pipe ceremony & Council Fire to greet the day of the most light.
( Sunrise is 5:30 am)
8:30 - 9:30 AM: Breakfast & cleanup
10 AM - 12 PM:Earth Skills share
1- 2 PM: Lunch
2:30 - 5:30 PM: Earth Skills share (weekend option arrive by 5 pm for orientation)
6:30 - 7:30 PM: Dinner & cleanup - welcome any new people at dinner prayer
7:30 - 9:30 PM:Evening storytelling around the fire.
Saturday June 21st (6 Kan):
5:30 AM:Optional sunrise prayer in the arbor on your own.
7:30- 8:30 AM: Breakfast.
9 AM - 1:00 PM: Walk to ceremony grounds for sweatlodge Ceremony.
1 PM: Picnic Lunch at ceremony grounds
2 - 5 PM: Afternoon time at creek, walk back to Bear Paw Meadow.
6- 7 PM: Dinner.
7- 9 PM: Evening music around the fire.
Sunday June 22nd (7 Keme):
7 - 8 AM: Sacred Morning Practice
7:30 - 9 AM: Breakfast.
9 AM - 1 PM: Mayan Fire Ceremony to make offerings for balance in our lives, and
transforming to our fullest potential.
1- 2:30 PM:Lunch.
3- 6 PM: Arts & crafts integration time. (Weekend option- pack & depart after lunch)
6- 7 PM: Dinner.
7- 9 PM:Storytelling & songs around the fire.
Monday June 23rd (8 Kiej):
5 - 9 AM: Sunrise pipe ceremony & closing circle
9 AM - 12 PM: Brunch, clean up & pack up camps
12 PM: Departure - with option to go to Klamath River (10 minute drive upriver from the
entry to Deer Mountain) to make offerings and then depart from there.
Gift Economy Contribution Tiers:
$222 ~ Community Supported. (Weekend only: $111)
For those with financial need โ this tier is supported by the heart-giving of others.$444 ~ Sustainer (Weekend only: $222)
Covers the full cost of food, land use, materials, and event coordination.$777 ~ Abundant Supporter (Weekend only: $390)
Helps feed elders, sustain ceremonies, and support scholarships and future offerings.

No one turned away for lack of funds. If finances are a barrier, we honor other forms of reciprocity ๐ including dedicated help with setup, firewood, kitchen, or clean-up.

Spring Water to fill your own water bottles
Outhouses
Hot Showers
Dish Station
Limited area for charging devices & wireless internet
WHAT TO BRING:
All camping gear & personal items (suggested packing list will be provided upon registration)
Contribution for potluck dinner (Thursday night) and and special food/snack needs
Sacred items and offerings for the ceremonies (flowers, tobacco, water from home, etc.)
A spirit of reciprocity, listening, and respect for the land and each other
Registration is required for this event, along with a $150 deposit. Camping Space is limited to 40 people.
There is very limited cell phone service. We do not have RV hookups. No dogs allowed at this event.
