On November 1st — Día de los Muertos and the Mayan Calendar day of Belejeb (9) Tijax — we gather for the first conversation in our
Re-membering series within The EPU Hive.
Belejeb (9) Tijax invites us to look courageously into the Smoking Mirror, to witness our reflections and the shadows that still live within us. With the sacred obsidian blade of Tijax, we are guided to cut away what no longer serves — clearing the path for truth, integrity, and transformation to emerge.
As we look around our world, we see much shadow rising — division, dishonesty, disregard for life, misuse of power. Yet this unveiling is not cause for despair; it is a call to transformation. What has long been hidden is now illuminated, offering us the chance to heal. The collective work begins within — the courage to face our own shadows with compassion and awareness. When we bring light to our inner world, we help restore balance to the outer.
Together, we will:
Engage with the mirror of ancestry — honoring our genetic and spiritual inheritance.
Experience a guided visualization and meditation — receiving ancestral strength and insight.
Light candles and make simple offerings for those who came before.
Reflect on what needs to be released to support our spiritual evolution.
Open to the medicine of awareness — choosing healing and new pathways for ourselves and future generations.
Guided by Tat Erick Gonzalez, we will explore the truth that we are the living continuation of our ancestors — hundreds of generations woven into our being. Through reflection and meditation, we’ll draw from their strength and wisdom, while releasing what no longer serves, to make way for renewal.
This is a sacred time to honor death and transformation — to re-member who we have been, heal what no longer serves, and consciously shape who we are bee-coming.
