Fall 2022 Mayan Calendar, with Lunar & Cosmic Alignments

This season we focus on the element of Water in the Mayan Medicine Wheel. The Black Road and the Great Mystery of Creation.

May these tools and guidance support your path.

New Moon: This is a phase to invite new beginnings. Welcome new challenges, set yourself new goals or ask for your heart’s desire. During a New Moon, it is good to set intentions and focus on how you will manifest these intentions during the coming month.

Full Moon: This is the time to let things go. Let go of things that no longer serve,  so that you can heal and move forward without these things holding you back. The Moon’s brightness offers hope, white celestial light to guide your forward.

Mayan Calendar 13-Day Week Cycle Energies

ABOUT THE MAYAN CALENDAR 13-DAY WEEK ENERGIES OFFERED BY TAT ERICK GONZALEZ:

Contrary to the hype at the end of the year 2012, the Mayan calendar did not come to an end. It is still alive and can serve as a powerful guiding tool for our lives. The sacred Mayan calendar that we follow, called the Cholq’ij, is made up of 260 days (approximately 9 months, which is the gestation period for a human being). Within this calendar there are cycles of 13 days that we call a week, where the vibrations of the days go from 1 to 13, and then start again in a 1 vibration. These vibrations are moving along side of the 20 Daylords, creating the completion of the Cholq’ij: the one cycle of the Mayan calendar in its 260 days (13 x 20).

The importance of these 13-day weeks is that they tell a story of an evolutionary process of humanity and all the beings with which we share this matrix. The matrix is what we call Kaj Uleu, the place between sky and earth, where all of life is manifested. In the same way that we have planetary influences (the basis for astrology), we have frequency, elemental, and cosmic influences, as individuals and a collective, that are reflected through the Mayan Calendar and that create a direct influence on our 7 divine bodies.

We are again sharing this creation story that comes from the spiritual, elemental and cosmic energies of the 13-day Mayan Calendar week. This creation story can be read in the sacred book of the Popul Vuh, as well the oral traditional stories that go with the ceremonies of the Maya. The Mayan Aj Q’ijab, shamans, the Daykeepers, they know this story. We want to share it in this way to expand this knowledge into the consciousness of humanity.

On the one vibration of each 13-day week we will be sharing a brief overview of the energies at play for that week, in which we can attune ourselves for a more cohesive and harmonized life.  Each week initiates with a 1 energy and moves through an evolutionary process to reach its full potential in the frequency of 13.  The frequencies move through the 20 Daylords.  The week describes not only part of a story of creation, but the story unfolding into a future that we can participate in. This smaller cycle of the 13-day weeks and the journey of the Daylords gives us an episode of an unfolding, everlasting story of which we are part (we are the actors in co-creating our future). In the same way that when we look at the stars we are looking at the past, there is also a future in which the gear of the 13-day week is part of an everlasting clock. This clock has some degree of predictability in which we can plan and participate with, and align ourselves with, to be in harmonious frequency. It is in essence a mini “forecast” using the Mayan Calendar.

We invite you to work with the water in some form on the One vibration of each 13-day Mayan Calendar Week and make your prayer, set your intentions with the energies of that week. Each week starts at the 1 (beginning) energy of a certain aspect, and builds to the 13 (full empowerment) energy of another aspect - like a wave that we can ride and harness that energy to help and guide us in our lives, or seeds we can plant with our prayers and intentions to grow a certain energy in that timeframe.  We offer reflections on the Water element within these cycles to connect to these energies.

Fall 2022 13-Day Week Energy Descriptions:

13 Day week of 1 Kawok: September 19th (culminates in 13 B’atz)

As the summer ends and we welcome the Fall, we enter the house of the Grandmothers on 1 Kawok to purify ourselves. This is a time to ask the water to cleanse our bodies and our minds, and to connect to Mother Earth and the Heavenly Spirit. On 7 Kan (Sun Sept 25th) we welcome the New Moon- calling in balance of our energy flows. As we come back to the energy of Keme, it is now the vibration of 8, and the process of transformation will be complete- as the earth sees another season complete. The following day brings the energy of 9 Kiej, when the spiritual being is birthed. The medicine person emerges as fully victorious over the dark, and many new Aj Q’ijab, or Mayan medicine people, are celebrated on this day. The culmination of this week in 13 B’atz is the fully empowered tapestry/weaving of beauty and oral tradition for the story of the Earth, and what it will take for the next generation to make it.

13 Day week of 1 E: October 2nd (culminates in 13 Kat)

On the sacred day of 1 E, the journey will take us through the first thought forms of the sacred water - from its molecules through its pilgrimage to create all the connections needed to fulfill its destiny and become a gas, liquid, or solid. The water in 1 E knows that it needs to complete all of its cycles, and teaches us to complete our destiny. In the middle of this week 7 Tijax is the communication of its gift and the protection of its journey from anything that comes in and tries to derail what the intention was (and there will be many things trying to disrupt that sacred journey). In 8 Kawok the water manifests its power and brings the rain. 8 Kawok (Sun Oct 9th) is also the day of the full moon this month, bringing the energy of completing our purification. By understanding the journey of the water, we understand our own journey, and bring the enlightenment of the higher consciousnesses: through transformation, evaporation, flow, pressure, temperature, and adaptation and in its different states of temperature. Then we must complete the journey to put all the pieces of the puzzle together in 13 Kat, making sure all pieces find their rightful place in the web of life to be complete. This whole week is held in the process of rediscovery in the black road where things are hidden. We must rediscover ourselves- who am I, what are we doing here, why me?

13 Day Week of 1 Kan: Saturday October 15th (culminates in 13 Noj)

Once the puzzle is complete, in 1 Kan a new intention, a new movement begins. Like the water that moves not in a straight line but adapts, winds, ebbs and flows, the serpent keeps moving while holding something, it applies the wisdom of Original Law, the sacred Law of Relationship. Our ancients knew the universal physical and spiritual laws, and understood how to move in harmony through ever present change. In this road we start to show our gratitude and the gift of reciprocity (5 Toj) so that we have a balanced weaving of life (7 Batz). On 8 E we can complete the sacred journeys of our soul, and allow the reflowering of the reeds (9 Aj) for the purpose of life and its evolution in its consciousness. The New Moon falls on 11 Tz’ikin (Tues Oct 25th)- allowing our visions to transform in their expressions. This cycle takes us to 13 Noj and the wisdom of the Earth and of the Ages. In this place there are no longer questions or doubts, but instead we find solid wisdom that will last through the generations.

13 Day Week of 1 Tijax: Friday October 28th (culminates in 13 T’zi)

After reaching the solid wisdom of 13 Noj, on 1 Tijax we ask “how do we protect it?” As we continue walking on the black road through this season of the sacred waters, on 1 Tijax we also understand now how sacred the water is, and that we must protect it. Tijax is the obsidian blade, and this cycle asks us to cut away the illusions so we can choose the life force (5 I’q) and knowing ourselves (6 Akabal). We must allow the connection on 7 Kat to be clear and pure, to allow for the changes of the dark and the light in their own time, because the natural law requires it (8 Kan). Then in 9 Keme we are asked to transform in our own birth or our own death. 12 Toj brings the endurance of the gift with what needs to be paid or offered, it is the energy of the request and the gratitude (12 Toj). When we can go through this week of cutting away illusions and transformation, this will bring strength to the people, the clan, the community (13 T’zi).

13 Day Week of 1 B’atz: Thursday November 10th (culminates in 13 Akabal)

Now that the people have gathered, we understand that the evolutionary process begins with a new plan- what is new in this cycle, and how do we adapt to it? 1 B’atz says we have a new plan, a new season, and begins to weave what is needed - how many leaves, how many flowers does this new expression need? On 2 E it begins to walk this destiny. This day of 2 E (Fri Nov 11th) is also the full moon with a lunar eclipse, revealing the shadow and teaching us how to stay in balance on our path. Now we know how we are going to get there and what we have to do (7 Noj), 8 Tijax asks how we are going to do it and complete it. On 9 Kawok, the purification of the sacred water will give birth - the temsecal, the house of creation arises. Here is where the knowledge of how to take care of life is carried by the midwives, the weavers of life (B’atz) understand what the DNA is doing. The understanding of the new dawn will be clear on 13 Akabal, and the completion of the birth process.

13 Day week of 1 Kat: Wednesday November 23rd (culminates in 13 Ajmak)

Now that the glorious dawning has happened on 13 Akabal, on 1 Kat it follows the instructions of creation with very strict laws of genetics (2 Kan), and the design of the Lords of Life and Death (3 Keme). The new moon also falls on the day of 3 Keme (Fri Nov 25th), inviting us to plant seeds of transformation for the places that need it in our body, mind and spirit. We find our spiritual placement in 4 Kiej. And so we prepare for the gifts of the people, the family, in unison (7 T’zi) to understand the completion of the weaving of life (8 B’atz). The pilgrimage (9 E) becomes a way of life. We walk the beauty way, for that is how it has been for generations and generations (13 Ajmak). The visions, thoughtforms and intentions create the instructions of life forms, and are very strong in abiding specific laws of respect with universal law, like genetics. This is what is passed on from one species to another - unless the Creator wants to change it, we should not be messing with it. This is the cycle of the timeless law of ebb and flow- of the tides and of time. It is in a constant state of change and flow. Even as we understand the state of stagnation, there is always something happening, more than we can see: evaporation, absorption, some life will continue and some will not.

This cycle holds the day of Waqxaqui (8) B’atz (Wednesday November 30th), sometimes referred to as the “Mayan New Year” which is celebrated by millions of the Maya with ceremonies at sacred sites and councils throughout Guatemala and MesoAmerica. This is a celebration of the biological rhythms of the earth, especially the human species, and the gratitude that we got this far- all the preparations are ready to give birth, everything is in place, the weaving is complete. And we celebrate the new path forward on 9 E. The day before 8 B’atz is Wuku (7) T’zi, who protects the law of genetics, the guardians of the sacred. And behind the guardian is the woman weaving on her knees- she is vulnerable, but knows she is protected. And this week culminates in 13 Ajmak- the full empowerment of the ancestral lineage throughout time.

13 Day week of 1 Noj: Tuesday December 6th (culminates in 13 Toj)

Now the ancestors have left an inheritance, and on 1 Noj we align with the wisdom of what the last generation learned so that it becomes the guidance for the next generation's wisdom. The full moon falls the following day on 2 Tijax (Wed Dec 7th), asking us to look into the smoking mirror and cut away that which is an illusion, so we can be in a place of balance. This cycle finds its balance in the crystallization of the house of wisdom, and completes its connection to the Web of Life in 8 Kat. This allows the free flow, the birthing of universal movement- ebb and flow, up and down, back and forth in 9 Kan. The wisdom of this cycle allows us to prepare the seeds of the next crop (12 Q’anil), and we make the request and the payment so that we are gifted with the continuum of life at the culmination of this week on 13 Toj.

13 Day week of 1 T’zi: Monday December 19th (culminates in 13 I’q)

In this cycle, we move from fall to winter, and as the water completes its gifts to life in this season of the black road, it gives its life force to the element of Air. This gift of 13 Toj becomes an empowerment to the species on 1 T’zi, the gathering of collective consciousness, or community. The new moon falls on 5 Ix (Fri Dec 23rd), allowing us to find our center with the Mother Earth, the altar, the magic of life. On 7 Ajmak, the people start to breathe life into the children of the next generation, and know what to do with the completion of the wisdom on 8 Noj. The new breath given on 1 T’zi starts to recognize its own community. “Now I know I am a human/virus/elephant”, so I communicate it and protect it on 9 Tijax. And it begins the cycle of the White Road in the cycle that culminates in 13 I’q , the full power of the air and the life force.
