The Echo of the Four Directions

Keeping the Fires and Spiritual Connection Alive

Journey to Boulder, Colorado
August 6th - 15th, 2026

Join Earth Peoples United in Boulder, Colorado as we gather together to inspire each other to live in greater service. People from many communities will unite to explore the timeless wisdom of ancient traditions through prayer, reflection, and a deeper connection with the natural cycles of life.

We are living in a time that calls for transformation — a time to come together in service for the wellbeing of our Mother Earth and all who call her home. This gathering is an invitation to enter the living teachings of Aj Q'ij Tat Erick Gonzalez and the mission of Earth Peoples United: a week of prayer, council, ceremony, and community rooted in the ancient wisdom of the four sacred directions.

Oral tradition — the passing of knowledge from one generation to the next through stories, songs, prayers, and ceremony — is more than spoken words. It is a spiritual transmission, living knowledge carried through the hearts of the people. We are honored to receive the wisdom of the ancient Mayan tradition offered by Tat Erick.

Come for one event or for the full week. All are welcome.

Jun (1) Ajmak is a sacred time to honor our ancestors by sharing wisdom
with the children and future generations, honored by the Maya. We will offer

Through Earth wisdom teachings and shared presence, we are invited to remember our right relationship with the Earth, with one another, and with the unseen threads that connect all life.

Guests are warmly invited to bring offerings for the Sacred Mayan Fire the following day —
dried herbs, flowers, copal resin, cedar or juniper foliage, and colorful beeswax candles.

Dinner is provided. Offered by donation in support of the mission of Earth Peoples United, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Fire & Earth Council Teachings

Saturday, August 8th · Oxi (3) Tijax
75th Street Ceremonial Grounds · Boulder, CO 80301
10 am – 2 pm · $120 (or $200 for both teaching days)

The first day of this sacred weekend journey opens in the East —
the direction of Sacred Fire, of passion, truth, and the light that lives
within us. Through the Eastern doorway we learn how the Fire reignites
the inner light that guides the soul's path. From the East we turn to the South —
the direction of Mother Earth, of grounding, self-compassion, and the deep roots that allow us to stand steady in the world. Together these two directions offer medicine for the spirit and the body: how to walk with greater truth and courage, and how to care for ourselves through love, presence, and balance.

$120 for the day · $200 for both teaching days (Saturday and Sunday)

Sacred Mayan Fire Ceremony — Healing Fire

Saturday, August 8th · Oxi (3) Tijax
75th Street Ceremonial Grounds · Boulder, CO 80301
2 pm – 7 pm · Loving donation · Open to all

The Sacred Mayan Fire is a bridge between humanity and the unseen —
carrying prayers, gratitude, healing, and transformation into the universe.
Through the fire, prayers are spoken in a language beyond words.
Offerings are an expression of gratitude — a way of saying: we remember, we honor, we give back.

Guests are warmly invited to bring dried Earth-based offerings to nourish the Sacred Fire: herbs, flowers, copal, cedar or juniper foliage, and colorful beeswax candles. Learn more about the Mayan Fire Ceremony here.

Open to all community members by loving donation. Included for those registered for the day's teachings.

Water & Air Council Teachings

Sunday, August 9th · Caji (4) Kawok
75th Street Ceremonial Grounds · Boulder, CO 80301
10 am – 5 pm · $120 (or $200 for both teaching days)

The second day of this immersive journey turns to the West —
the direction of Water, of purification, emotional balance, and release.
Water teaches us to let go of old wounds, grief, and stagnation, returning to clarity, peace, and renewal. From the West we turn to the North — the direction of Air, of spirit, and of the deep listening that becomes possible when the mind grows quiet. Like the breath itself, Air reminds us that spirit is always present, gently guiding us back to ourselves.

These teachings are followed by a Water Blessing and Limpias Ceremony — a ceremony of purification and renewal in which the offerings of the Water are joined with the clarifying medicine of the Air. Guests are invited to gather and bring spring waters to unite together in blessing.

$120 for the day · $200 for both teaching days (Saturday and Sunday)

and Creator who guide and sustain us. Come make offerings and prayers of thanksgiving
as this extraordinary week comes to a close.

Guests are warmly invited to bring dried Earth-based offerings: dried herbs, flowers, copal, cedar or juniper foliage,
